I don't think you have any intention to understand it. Terekemes are a name given to Azerbaijani Turks in Turkey. Terekemes are Azerbaijani Turks. There is no need to make it so complex. So what is "Funny thing that all the good Asiks are Terekemes and non of the other tribes of Azerbaycan" supposed to be? How did Terekemes got into modern day boundaries of Turkey? All of them are Azerbaijani Turks who fled Russian invasion. So simple. You don't need to create your own stories. Why are they actually called in that way? Karapapak? Because of their Azerbaijani headgear called Papaq, wich distinguished them from local Anatolians. Is there a 0.01% difference between so called Terekemes in Turkey and population of Azerbaijan? They talk like us, dance our dances, play our musics, eat our foods. And they wear our Papaqs. ;D Get real, everyone has ears and eyes. Stop calling something black as white.

Atabeg my friend, you are supposedly a Turanian nationalist yet are not aware that nothing as "Azeri" people exist? Tell that to UNESCO. ;D What do you see there my friend? www.unesco.org/culture/ich/index.php?RL=00253Atabeg, the best ashigs are the ones you see in Azerbaijan. In the videos I posted here. You exeggerate the Persian influence. Azerbaijani Turks are mainly influenced by Caucasus culture when it comes to foreign influences, not Persian. How many times do I have to tell this? Terekeme are one of the tribes of Azerbaijani Turks. There is nothing as Azeri. And most tribes of Azerbaijani Turks were nomads. And Terekemes mostly live in western Azerbaijan. Or to say it like this, those in western Azerbaijan (above Karabakh) are all Terekeme Azerbaijani Turks, all the way to Borchali.

Murat çobanoglu is a Asik from Kars turkey (the most famous asik of the last decade) LOL. Ashigs use Qopuz (Azerbaijani instrument) not Saz!

Accualy it can still be found in Turkey to in Kars and some extend in igdir and ardahan Terekemes or Karapapaks have the best Asiks they can be foun in Northern Azerbaycan North eastern Turkey and Borçali in georgia. It has little to do with azerbaycani music wich are more Mahnis and Mugam You are really ignorant. Tell me any other place where Ashig tradition are more advanced then that of Azerbaijan. Those in Kars, Igdir, Ardahan are Azerbaijani Turks. Karapapaks are Azerbaijani Turks themselves. They are one of many groups. Karapapaks do not innhabit the northern regions of Azerbaijan but west. When you say north, its areas near Dagestan. Karapapaks are around Gence. Think of it like Karadeniz vs Ege people of Turkey. They are all Turkish at the end. The homeland of Ashigs are Gence-Tovuz-Qazakh area of Azerbaijan. And best Ashigs are from there. Also Borchali, but Borchali are equal to western area of Azerbaijan. Borchali and Gence are 100% the same. It only lies within borders of Georgia, artifical borders. Has little to do with Azerbaijani music? What is Ashig? Alien music? LOL. ;D Mugam are unique to Karabakh, Ashigs unique to western areas. But they are all part of Azerbaijani culture and music.

First ever democratic and secular Republic to be established in whole Turkic and Muslim world. Even tough it only existed for 2 years, 1918-1920 period. "The Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (ADR; Azerbaijani: Azərbaycan Xalq Cümhuriyyəti) was the first successful attempt to establish a modern parliamentary republic in the Muslim world (pre-dating the Republic of Turkey).[1] The ADR was founded on May 28, 1918 after the collapse of the Russian Empire that began with the Russian Revolution of 1917 by Azerbaijani National Council in Tiflis[2]. Its established borders were with Russia in the north, Democratic Republic of Georgia in the north-west, Democratic Republic of Armenia in the west, and Persian Empire in the south. It had a population of 2 million.[3] Ganja was the temporary capital of the Republic as Baku was under Bolshevik control."

Traditional Oghuz epic folk. This tradition can only be found in Azerbaijan. Texts mainly containts medieval Oghuz saga called Koroglu. Ashigs can also write of their own. The instrument are called "Qopuz". Also, not Turkish Saz as what some people may think. www.unesco.org/culture/ich/index.php?RL=00253en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Art_of_Azerbaijani_Ashiqs"Art of Azerbaijani Ashigs combines poetry, storytelling, dance and vocal and instrumental music into a traditional performance art. Learn 2) Georgians wear like picture you send too. Learn 3) Fur-cap doesnt belong to Azeries. [/quote] Genius, they do because they are people of Caucasus. Like Azerbaijani Turks. Fur-cap? ;D. Maybe you meant Papakh? Papakh are again traditional of Caucasus. Azerbaijani Turks, Georgians, Chechen-Dagestanians and Circassians wear it.

And you did not answer me why Russians referred to us as "Caucasian Tatars" if we were not a Turkic tribe? Georgians still use Tatar word to describe Azerbaijani Turks. This comes from that Azerbaijani Turks were/are easily distinguished from North Caucasian and Iranian Muslims.
