From what I know the Bulgarian Tangrism (Tangra/Tura in Bulgarian = Tengri) is quite different from the turkic faith. We have more Gods(I don't even know if there are gods among the Turkic people?).Also we built sanctuaries. But I think it is normal. We share some(or even many) things with other Iranian peoples from Central Asia and Eurasia. Could you give me some good links about Turkic Tengriism?

The Turkic and Mongolic peoples also worshipped spirits other than Tengri, such as the souls of their ancestors, the spirits of non-living creatures (animism), etc... Also we built sanctuaries. Do you have any drawings, reconstructions, photos or descriptions of these sanctuaries?

The Turkic and Mongolic peoples also worshipped spirits other than Tengri, such as the souls of their ancestors, the spirits of non-living creatures (animism), etc... Yeah, I know that.We did too. But apart from that we had higher spirits-gods(Alpi- good and Divi - bad). We portray Tangra(And Ulyat, same as Umay to the turks) as something higher than a God.He's everywhere, sees everything, can't take one form in particular because He's in everything, while the Gods(Alps/Divs) could take a human form or sometimes of a mystic creature or animal(lion, dragon, tiger, deer,<flower>,wolf, bars usually - these are the holy animals of the Bulgars) and there arefound drawings of Gods/Goddeses and small statues. Here's one drwing: (From Volga Bulgaria - around XI C.AD) Do you have any drawings, reconstructions, photos or descriptions of these sanctuaries? There are many sanctuaries mainly in Northern and Central Bulgaria. One of them is the Madara sanctuary. Here is one picture of it(I'll try searching for more later.)

We portray Tangra(And Ulyat, same as Umay to the turks) as something higher than a God. Sorry, I made a mistake here. It's not Ulyat , but Sun's Mother (Always mentioned like that. She's the Earth - Son's Mother). Ulyat is Diva (Bad Goddess) of death.

Nice work, but their approach is a bit inaccurate Actually, there was only one god, the Täŋri (Tengri). Others like Umay, Yir Sub, etc were all spirits that had a lower statues from the God. Besides, Yir Sub is a big collection of all animistic cults, including earth, water, mountain, tree, cloud, wind, animals, human beings, etc... Plus, the site claims that the Kalmyks and Tibetans are Turkic ;D LOL no wonder, the website is owned by Greeks ;D ;D ;D

don't know why but many people have an approach to deny the idea of Tengriism as a Monotheistic religion...

Well, it was Monotheist because there was only one god, but it wasn't completely monotheist because there were other spirits who were believed to have possessed powers.
Actually, what I understood from Turkic and Mongolian historical texts is that those spirits were more like the servants of the God. In the Secret History of the Mongols, you can see the expression "God ordered and the Earth did". This means that the God orders something to happen, and the Earth makes changes on itself and prepares good conditions that God's order can be issued. Similar to the angels in monotheist Semitic religions. However, angels in these religions do not have an independent individuality, nor they have any genders. Turko-Mongol spirits had.

I knew that Erlig wasn`t so evil. Btw in that page Erlik was described as : "Erlik is called Erglik. Erlik is described as an old man with an athletic built. His eyes and eyebrows are jet-black and his parted beard reaches his knees. His moustache is like tusks that curl behind his ears. His horns are like tree-roots and his hair curled."It differs from Mongolian Erlig. Dark wing-ed creature with burning eyes. Holds snake -to catch human souls. Zetiger =The Evil Sometimes he took body of smelly-sick-old man. -If U say "Go away U ugly old man!" or humilate him -your dead. ;D ;D ;D He is very handsome & charming!

I'm not sure if Tengrism is a religion. I like to think of it as "the way it already is,was"
I feel like I don't actually have a belief or disbelief in any religion, but I feel like I already know what Tengri is, and what I am. ... For me, Tengri feels like, being extension of everything and every human being.
But everything in the universe can not even come close to what Tengri is because Tengri is more than the sum of everything. Tengri is infinite.
I am sure Tengrism is monotheistic. To my comprehension, the other lesser gods are somewhat like "angels"
I have a rather strange idea about how I was created.
An individual decides himself to be created (it wants to exist) by the will of Tengri. When Tengri creates the individual, the individual becomes an entity. Then this entity comes to earth, and enters the body of a human being, thus giving the human being a soul that consists of at least two parts. One in connection with Earth and life in general, and the other with a cosmic plane.
These are my ideas.
One more thing: Sometimes when friends start talking about the concept of God and existence in general, some guy always says a things like:
-why did God create me? -etc,etc... and -I didn't ask the God to create me! Why should I thank God? I always answer this question with this response:
But you really tried so hard to reach the egg when you were a single sperm.
