You can see STARS(=maybe Fire), MOON and SUN Ancient Mongolian symbol has MOON, SUN and(not star maybe because they didn`t know this 5 angle shape) a FIRE. Symbol with mix of MOON & SUN is called Hunnic=Nomadic.

To whom it may concern!
I don't really know from where last word STAN. We Kazakh or people who live in Kazakhstan don't really like last 4 letters because it makes us not Kazakh but Kazakhstanian. We have some clues that STAN came from word SULTANAT(Kingdom)=STAN(short meaning).

You may disagree with me but I think Mysterious Symbol : SOYOMBO represent the chain of commant in the universal way. Fire is the father of everything and nothing. Then comes his creations sun and moon. Everything else I see as unfinished picture.

You may disagree with me but I think Mysterious Symbol : SOYOMBO represent the chain of commant in the universal way. Fire is the father of everything and nothing. Then comes his creations sun and moon. Everything else I see as unfinished picture. Ancient Mongolian legend says : Fist there was total darkness of dust. Then the fist fire divided dust from sky. The Earth was created by fire. So you just can`t wash your dirt/=dust/, because everything on Earth is made of dust/=dirt/. So Ancient Mongols did not like to wash their face & clothing. ;D Legend say : Zanabazar saw it in Sky, so he just copied it and could not describe what does it mean. The word "Soyombo" means "It appeared by itself".

AS I said all esle looks like unfinished picture. I bet people who is intreseted in magic and spiritual world will be very intrested. I heard once! I take a big intrest to strange ideas and thoughts. Ok! The sign of God Father is FIRE. The Father of everything and nothing. Did you read the bible! When god appeard to Abramm who rescued Jews from Egypt. He appeared in fire. Burning Tree. Many other religions also mention FIRE as the GOD eliment. Greek metholody about Promitei and him bringing fire to save people. The God of everything and nothing is god who is very passive about future and prezent but suprime as he will be always. Something is missing in SOYOMBO I think we need some buddist to help as here!!! any buddist around??? Please help!!!

1-st meaning of "Soyombo" is Armored Warrior. Soyombo is also called "Hun Usug"="Human letter" I`m a Buddist. But I also like, respect our old religion(Shamanism). Mongolian Buddism differs from Chinese, Korean, Japanese,....etc. It is close to Tibetian. But has some uniqueness/it is because of shamanism/. SOYOMBO is also religious symbol. For a man who can call himself Strong, it is a great honor to keep it traditions and old believes generation to generation. I read about Jesus, and I found many arguments. This God made Abramm`s walking stick into SNAKE!!!(=as proof of God) but snakes are hated by Christians. Did you know ho is SATAN? Satan Shaitan (Satan/Hebrew Shaitan/Arabic) The Adversary. Lord of fire. Fire Elemental. Strange is that new generation of humanity(I mean Christians) called the life giving Fire(humanity survived using fire) as Evil. If I`m wrong, remind me is there any text in Bible about sacred Fire or Fire worshipping.

Buddist! That's good! It also good that you count Shamanism! I am universal in religion! I've been in Tibet last year. Went to Potong in Lahasa, was very impressed. I've seen a picture their about the how people settle in life and how they can get nervana! Their is different ways to achive the top! Why I mention it! Because the picture you show looks like nearly the same. Top is God! Them the Budda, Saints, Monks, Good People, People, Bad people, People with very bad sin and hell! One collom represent worriors who fight for good, and another is demons who fight for bad. I like the Buddism! Their is no bad and good. everything is convertable and can help to reach nervana.

I met Tibetians and they are not saints! Very agressive people who fought most of their history. Intresting part is when they suddenly became buddist. Same with mongoliyans. For nomads in the steppes needed 300 years to make half of the population at least to go to prayers. I have a friends from Iran and my Father went to Iran. They both told me that most of iranian go to prayers just as a part of the job because the goverment is Islamic. Most of them still keep the old religion to Ahura Mazda. Cristianity only became as a one religion in 4th century. By the Constantin the Great. He rewrote the Bible. Their used to be old bible which had more connections with buddism and teached how to live in harmony. When it was rewriten they took all the best from other religios and made the Crist the son of God. Thats why Cristianity will never be adopt my nomads! No human can became god or anything related to it! Budda is also not a god! That was his words!!! Devil appeared in 8th century and got his horns and tail in 10th century. Big thanks to Roman Holy Church. I like the religion if only it doesn't involve blood and dictatorship. About FIRE! Many religions look at it very strange. They addmit that the gods of fire gave life but also accuse them of all the disasters. Take LOKI the Viking god. Many times he saved the gods and played tricks. At the end they killed him. He came back and distroyed the world. Its how we use fire! It could bring life or it could distroy us!

Actually I don`t remember Religious meaning of SOYOMBO clearly, but the goal is to reach the light on top.(I`ll ask some one else for more) There are five things inside 2 big columns : It is said that human makes 5 most bad mind sins. 1.Lie 2.Wanting -Want to have sex with someone. I mean, want too much 3.Anger. -want to take revenge! say bad words...etc 4.Steel -fist you think how to do it 5.Stupidness -not wan`t to listen, don`t try to understand 2 columns are the guards who keep it and not let go. It is human nature to have these 5 sins, So Intelligence(=the top) also guards them.

I met Tibetians and they are not saints! Very aggressive people who fought most of their history. Interesting part is when they suddenly became buddist. Same with Mongolians. For nomads in the steppes needed 300 years to make half of the population at least to go to prayers. I heard that one Tibetian king did not want to make his country Buddist. He also worshiped ancient Gods who always wanted human sacrifices. However he was killed by a follower of Buddism, -by an arrow. This was possible because the follower was wearing Chinese wide sleeved coat -to hide the bow&arrow. Then it was forbidden to wear wide sleeved coat. And the Buddhism spread quickly.(I think We all know which country wanted to introduce Buddism -Ancient China.) It is said that to introduce Buddism in Mongolia, Manchu killed more than 700 shamans. (ofcourse these shamans were not Elite ones ) Also there was no tax from Monks
