Are you sure? The Discovery Channel guy said that moon is feminine in most of the ancient people. The paganist guys in the Europe were mathriarchic and they gave most importance to the moon. Well, everyone who knows about Sumerian mythology will tell you that Nanna was male. And I'm follower of Finnish Shamanism so I can be sure that Moon was male. And we Finns are not Europeans.

Hey guys it doesn`t matter! cuz no one will solve it! A QUESTION : Why Moon is called Male? It seems like Moon doesn`t have any male characters -right!? Even U can see a bunny on it! ;D Well I think that Moon always helped to hunters. I mean it was more easy to hunt at night than during day. During day animals could see far, but during night they are bit lazy & can`t see far. It gave enough distance to throw a spear or just shoot from arrow. I also heard that Huns like to battle under the full moon. (also I heard that under the full moon Koreans burn something! I guess it is their houses hehehe... ;D) Do U know that ancient symbol of Mongols can be decoded like this :
