Bor Chono can you tell me the exact location of Tunyukuk's inscription? The sources available to me are giving different datas. According to some of them the inscription is located in the Bayan Tsogto valley southwest from Ulaan Baatar, and others say that it is located in the east of UB near the city Naleyh? Can you give me a little more precise information?

of course my name is modern. my is name naranbaatar... but my freinds call me naaya... like the 13th century general. One of the most talanted Chingis haans general
oh yes and one more thing. there are few old names left. like temujin tumulun oelun oguudei baatar(wich means hero or knight) and so on cant remember them all. but titles like chingis is very stict in mongolia couse iss like u give a god name to ur child. and khaan never couse its title it means king and u dont give a title to ur new born kid

Mandukhai is one the most popular name for female, she is probably the greatest female hero. and also Anu (I think she was one of Chingis Haan's prince)
The strangest names that I know of are;
Nergui = No Name Naming child by the days of the week = Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (In Mongolia my neighbours 4 son were called from Friday - Tuesday)

Naming child by the days of the week = Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (In Mongolia my neighbours 4 son were called from Friday - Tuesday) Indeed, this is a strange custom. Any meaning for that?

We also have a name Cuma in Turkmenistan. We also have a tradition of naming kids as 1st child, second child, etc. For instance, Çary means fourth son, Baþim - fifth, Dursun - let it be the last one. We also have names with odd meanings to protect the baby. For instance, the name of the girl can be Kampýr (old lady) so that she'd always be young and beautiful.
