Do you find any pride Balamir in being related to the Huns? Unbelieveable some Magyars petitioned the government to be accepted as descendants of Attila! it's like that we appreciate deeds of Caesar's expedition to Gaul or Dacia, or even supporting early persian expeditions to other countries in the middle east. I personally in military history appreciate those who defended their countries whether it is the Turks or it is the Chinese or Iranians. But no way of any supporting of Attila or Ghengis Khan.

Huns are one of their ancient relatives whom we are proud of. But I really dislike the Ugric Magyars to claim the Huns as their ancestors, because the Magyars have nothing to do with the Huns. But no way of any supporting of Attila or Ghengis Khan. This is not a good thing to say in a place where there are Turks and Mongols ;D

but Chinggis Qa'an did defend his homeland, just because he won and conquered the others doesn't mean he was bad. Temür might have been bad.

I know what you saying, but as an iranian and I am a lover of Scythian or Sarmatian history and culture but as a modern and responsible citizen I dont agree with their deeds even though that was the matter of time. However the great massacres some military leaders did in the history even considering the conditions of their era was so profound that cant be regarded and justified as good even today!
