They're trying to prevent their mess in Iraq from becoming a regional war, where other nations will involve. Once Turks will invade, the consequences are unimaginable. Other countries like Iran and Syria may use the chaos produced from the Turkish-Kurdish war and may join, too.
This is typical American-Western propaganda. The US wants to use the kurds as their ally, more correctly puppet or toy, in the middle of Southwestern Asia (I don't like the usage of that colonialist term called "Middle East"), so they try to prevent anything that would harm this; and as soon as their job is done with them, they are going to screw those bugs. Turkey's problem is with the pkk, not with the local kurdish administration in the area; if it was, believe me, we could have easily destroyed those bastards just after the First Gulf War.
The possible involvement of Syria and Iran into North Iraq is also American paranoia.
Did you know that Turkey supplies most of the electricity used in North Iraq? Did you know that most of the construction firms operating there are Turkish?
PKK is clearly linked to the legitimate government of Iraqi Kurdistan, which is supported by the US. But it doesn't mean that US supports PKK, though.
The pkk was founded, funded and supported by the US and Western Europe, to stirr up internal troubles inside Turkey, which was a growing power the West could not tolerate. Similar to what happened in Yugoslavia. The good thing was that we were not a loose federation like Yugoslavia, so we did not fall into pieces. General Kenan Evren, the head of junta administration which launched laws persecuting non-Turkics in Turkey, was also controlled by the US. Appearently, the CIA ordered Evren the Idiot to launch these laws so that the pkk, which was a communist organization in the beginning, could gain more popular support. However, he was also the guy who executed real Turkish nationalists. He was surely an American dog, just like the kurds, just like how the Armenians were the dogs of Britain, Frans and Russia a century ago. Same play, different actors.
Sources?
Some groups in Turkey are doing a great job with demonizing the Americans (their biggest success - American and Arab portrayal in "Kurtlar Vadisi - Irak"). There's a big chance that those "reports" and "evidences" may have been generated by those interest groups to foster the anti-Americanism in Turkey.

Sources? Army reports.
Have you ever heard about Çekiç Güç (Hammer Force), an American-led force which was installed on the Turkish-Iraqi border during the 1990s? There are many army reports about the American force inside Çekiç Güç bringing supplies to pkk camps. Recently, there are more reports about the American occupational forces bringing supplies to pkk camps in North Iraq, as well as providing them intelligence.
I don't know you, but I trust my army.
The biggest East Turkistani separatist groups that openly oppose China also exist in Europe and US.
The reason for that is the Western freedom of speech. People from Eastern countries like Turkey and Kazakstan may not understand that, but it is the essence of the West to accept the pluralism.

Hahahaha, I can't believe you are still believing these lies, my dear Yabghu ;D ;D ;D ;D
"Freedom of speech" is nonsense. The Western powers are using it for their own imperialistic ambitions. But when it comes to them, there is no freedom of speech. You can not openly praise Al Qaida in the USA or Britain. Otherwise, you would be taken away and questioned. You can not give any remarks about "non-French ethnic groups" in France, such as the Basques, Corsicans or Bretons, because France never accepts the existence of these. You can not openly carry or use the Nazi swastika in countries like Germany or France. You can not say that the so-called "Armenian Genocide" is a lie in countries like Switzerland or France; otherwise, you are going to jail. You can not say, write or draw anything bad/negative/insultive/offensive about the royal houses in Denmark, the Netherlands or Spain. Want to hear more examples? But in Turkey, you can openly say that you are non-Turkish, you can openly accounce your ethnic origins, you can even curse at the state, you can even beat nationalist students in the universities in downtown Ankara, capital of the country. You can call bloody terrorists as "freedom fighters", "martyrs", "our brothers in the mountains", etc etc, and get away with that. Now tell me, which country has more "freedom of speech"?
As for the Uyghurs in the USA. It is evident that the US and Germany (top two Uyghur-supporter Western countries) are supporting the Uyghurs not because they like the Uyghurs or because they are for "democracy" or "freedom of speech", but because they want to use the Uyghurs against China. Just like how the US, Britain, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Belgium, Denmark, Norway and Sweden use the kurds against Turkey.
Wake up my boy! The World is not as good as you think, and the West is not as innocent as you are told by your American-led rulers! The United States of America is the biggest terrorist state in the World, and it is a danger to all of us, to humanity! As well as Iran, Russia and China.
Being pro-American doesn't make you pro-kurdish.
Actually, I never met any pro-Kurdish Kazaks in my life, nor in the internet.
Actually, I never met any pro-Kurdish Kazaks in my life, nor in the internet.
I have met.
However, what bothers some Kazak Turkists, including me, is the "double standard" policy on the Kurdish issue we have to practice. I am talking about every nation's right to self-determination, and especially our support for the E.Turkistan independence movement. If it wasn't for the brotherly nation of Turkey, there would be no reason for us to oppose the Kurdish independence.
The so-called "kurdish independence" is a tool for the imperialist West. I oppose it to the fullest because:
1) It is directly an insult to the Republic of Turkey, since those creatures called kurds are claiming lands from us.
2) Those creatures called kurds are persecuting, robbing, sending away, killing and stealing/grabbing lands from the Türkmens of Iraq.
3) The US and Western Europe-EU is using it as a tool to weaken Turkey.
4) Those creatures called kurds are a bunch of weirdos who never deserve any independent state.
As I said before, the enemy of our enemy is our friend. Therefore, Kazakstan has to rely on the alliance with the US in its struggle to keep its sovereignty from Russia and China.
The US is as big as an enemy as Russia, Iran and China. Actually it is more dangerous, since it looks friendly.
