Among all of the tribes of Genghis-era Mongolia, Naymans and Kereyits had the most Turkic names - Altun-Aşuq, Quçuluk-han, İnança-Bilgehan, Yedi-Tubluq, Sangum, Elqutur, Buyruq-han, Guçugudun-Buyruq-han, Qurça-qus-Buyruq-han, and others. Some of them look like Mongolian names

You can not define a clean cut border between Turkic and Mongolian ethymology.

I read somewhere the Merkits were more of a Turkic tribe. Genghis Khan's mom is from the Merkit tribe.

The Mergeds were not Turkic. I have found the following info at www.hostkingdom.net/mongols.html#Merkit
The MERKITS - An Asian tribe inhabiting southeastern Siberia during the Middle Ages, regarded by their neighbours as being particularly ferocious. Their ethnicity is somewhat obscure; the balance of the evidence suggests that they were Mongolic (related to Mongols, Naimans, Keraits, and Khitan), but it has also been postulated that they are more closely related to Paleo-Asians such as the Chukchi, or Tungusic (Manchu and Evenk). Temujin Genghis Khan had Merkit ties: his mother was the wife of Chiledu, abducted from him by Genghis' father, sparking a long-running feud.

Temujin's mother was from the Onggirat tribe. Her original husband was the Merkit Chiledu, but Yesugei stole her from him.

No, as our dear member snafu indicated, she was from the Olkhunoghut which was a sub-tribe of Qonggirat Mongols. But she was earlierly married to a Merkit man named Yeke Chiledu (Great Chiledu).
Altun and Altan are the Turkic and Mongolic versions of "Gold". Küchlüg is clearly Turkic, meaning Powerful (Küch=Power, -lüg=-ful/with); it must have passed to Mongolian from Turkic. Bilgä is also clearly Turkic, coming from the root Bil (Know) so Bilgä means "Wise". From Bil- also came Bilig (Wisdom). If the Mongols use it, it means that it passed to Mongolian from Turkic.
