The Historical Wall of Gorgan (Hyrcania)

The Historical defense wall of Gorgan was a defensive structure comparable to that of Hadrian's and same use of the Limes and The great wall of China. It is high probably was built in times of Ashkani (Parthian) Kings and was rebuilt and got more significance during the Sasanian era of Iran with it's first aim, impeding steppe nomadic invasions into Iranian plateau and crown lands of Iranian kings.

Im living there. I see that every day. It's made by sassanid shah "Anoushirvan'e Adel" for controlling nomad invaders. We Türkmens call it " qizil Alang" meaning : red wall. Cos its made of red soil.
