In the Dumlupýnar University of Kütahya, Türkiye, researchers managed to find a new type of dog. It is produced by mating the famous Turkish breed "Kangal" and wild wolfs. After that, the male "Turkish wolf" is mated with female Kangal. "We have been working for 5 years in our university to produce 'Turkish wolf'. We managed to produce the second generation. Our second generation consists of 5 puppies whose father is our new Turkish wolf and mother is Kangal. 2 of them died because of disease, we now have 3 puppies. We are working for the continuation of our new breed." said Assist. Prof. Ahmet Selçuk Özen, the administrator of this project. The product is awesome. It is as intelligent as Kangal and as agile as wolf. Note that, this new breed is a bit larger than German shepherd and Husky. Our new national dog. Our other dogs: Kangal Anatolian Shepherd Taigan Tasy Akbash Central Asian Ovcharka

That is surprising but yes that new Wolf must be something very nice because Kangals are very good dogs already Man, a mix of kangal and wild wolf, that is scary ;D

Wouldn't the new dog be agressive. how many generations did it take for the wolf to become domestc(dog).
btw mabey a unrelated topic I heard that some people ae domesticating the fox so in 20-30 years we can have foxes as pets(there way smarter than dogs)
As for the Turkish wolf man I would like to have one

I heard a rumor that many states in America have been ordering Kangals from Turkey to train as police dogs. Is this true? By the way, the new breed does look a lot more scary than a wolf...it's face looks more like a wolf's while the body looks like a body of a big as dog, what's the personality and intellegence like?

I like wolfes. Once one wolf tried to come to my parents car, and before that it just asked food and acted very nice. Too bad that they did not took that wolf in our house.

Exporting Kangal from Türkiye is forbidden by our laws. I see, so I guess it was really just a rumor.
