if i can find it i won't watch it or i won't like it that much a mexican dude that plays a kazakk c'mon he might pass as a southern turkmen a azeri or a Anatolian(might)(some uygurs and Anatolians look kind of mexican) but a kazakh c'mon.
I would give the movie a 9/10 but since the actors well.... 6/10
I'm still going to watch it

come on, don't be racist, it is not important who plays the roles as logn as the roles are played with heart & soul I hope this movie is released as soon as possible in europe...but does anyoen know about this two version thing? i heard the international version differs from the original Russo-Kazakh version to make it more apealing to western viewers they included more battle scenes and put more importance to the love story...

Although I like the performances of Jason Scott Lee, Marc Dacascos, and a little of the Jay Hernandez. Yes, Harvey Weinstein of the Miramax decided that the Kazak version was not what they wanted, and decided to reshoot some of the scenes and add new.

There is no need to do that. Everyone watching the movie can make a small internet search ad find out that the Qazaqs were Turkic. Besides, I do not think that the Qazaqs called them "Turks" so there is no need to say that the Qazaqs are a Turkic people during the entire movie. But maybe they could have made a short-lasting introduction in the beginning of the movie and give some basic information about who the Qazaqs were.

Agreed,ý think the word "Turk" must be in the movie, because all west people watched the film will think they are another nation ;D When this movie outed? How can ý buy it's original Ýn Turkey?(With Turkey Turkish dublage)

but they are another nation. Qazaqs are Qazaqs, no need to mention they are Turkic. it is like mentioning in the movie Das Boot that the Germans are Indo-European...

Qazaqs (as well as Ozbeks and Qirghiz) are Turks, too, because they speak the Turkic language.
Central Asia is known as "Turkistan" (Land of Turks).
