Everytime when I read the history of zhun ge er Mongol, I felt very sad. Manchrian eight banner butchered 200,000 Mongols in Xing jiang(eastern turkistan). Meanwhile, I don,t understand why Mongol tribes didn,t unite together, if they didn,t attack each other, Mongol can reconquer China again. And it was said that many Mongol soldier served in Manchu army, when Manchu broke "Shan hai guan"(great wall) 1 out of 5 is Mongol.

For Halha Mongols(=Guardiands) it was important to stop rising power of Ming than fight with each other. Zuungars didn`t understood it. Zuungars are not a typical Mongol(=Tsahar, Halha, Buryat) that can say "Hurrai Chinggis! Hurrai Chinggis!"

Mongols were divided, and the pro-Manchu Mongol elites were generally more conservative and thought the Junghars were boat rockers on top of once again, they weren't friends.
The Mongol banner princes had lands, titles and money and thus would have had a lot to lose by switching sides and joining with people who outside of ethnicity they had little in common from and nothing to gain from.
