no actually the caption says it's the battle of Riade 933, a lesser known but equally important battle.

Yes, from the photos I saw before, the event looks great. Next year it will be held in Kazakhstan though, too bad I will miss it because right now I'm close to Hungary

Do you have any source about Hungarian ethnic backgrounds? Balamir, Here are some sources I came across. They are from original writers during the time period of the Huns and Maygars. From Jordanes History of the Goths around 550 ad www.harbornet.com/folks/theedrich/Goths/Goths1.htm(Latin) Hinc jam Hunni, quasi fortissimarum gentium fecundissimus caespes, bifariam populorum rabie pullularunt. Nam alii Altziagiri, alii Sabiri nuncupantur, qui tamen sedes habent divisas: (English)From here the Huns, like a kind of very fertile sod of exceedingly strong tribes, expanded with ferocity in two branches against other peoples. Some of these are called Altziagiri, others Sabiri; and they have different dwelling places. Constantine VII Porphyrogenitus "Byzantine Emperor from 908 to 959" wrote the Adminstration of the Empire, a book for his son who would succeeded him. De Administrando ImperioHe calls the (Magyars) Turks, who choose Apard over his father Almoutizis. he states: "They were not called turks at that time, but had the name Sabartoi asphaloi"So the question is are the Sabiri of Jordanes the same as the Sabartoi of Constantine VII 400 years later? You decide

I don't think the Sabars and Magyars were the same. Greetings ! May I ask what led your thoughts towards this direction ? I think there is an indirect link to the sabirs... Please, it is free to convince me for the opposite.
