i'm not sure, did the White Huns speak Iranic or Turkic? BTW, new infos here. today i read that the Abdalis were noted to not have any infantry in their armies at all, typicall for a Steppe armies... haven't found another hint for Rajputs yet, but today i also read that the Jats of northern India most likely descendet from Sakas. it is known that Sakas penetrated Eastern Iran (hence the name Sistan for that province) up to Afghanistan at least shortly before the comming of the Tokharians/Yüezhi. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JatsBTW, while writing this i had a look at the surename comparison from wikipedia and i must admit it is nonsense, for exampel the German surenames Mann which is Maan in Jat. Mann in German means man (male), but in Jat language it is supposed to mean Honour...same goes for German Neubauer, which is even more obvious. Neubauer literally means "new peasant", i would be VERY surprised if the Jat meanign of the word is new peasant as well... other names were heavily modified to fit into the pattern

The White Huns probably spoke Old Turkic, I think.
