One caveat though, quite a lot of the items illustrated are not actually Mongol - several Russisan items and other steppe stuff as well.

Some guy was asking in All Empires forum "-Do Mongols have standartized military clothing?"
Well..recently I spoke with a driver who is working with movie making team. He changed my opinion a little bit. He said : "-Mongols wear anything if it can protect their vital organs. And it thought that it was stupid to have standart clothing."
I asked "-Why?"
He said "-No one will want to take main attack! Commanders looked like ordinary soldiers. But foreign generals had different clothing than it`s ordinary solders. So it was easy to spot them & shoot. Still every army needs to be unseen to opponent.(=camouflage is vital) So being like bunch of pirets gave advantage to Mongols."

Well..in Inner Mongolian movie U can see that The Great khaan`s army was somehow standartized in clothing. -Yes many think that in last periods of Mongol conquest, Mongols army started to standartize in clothing.(-like Yuan royal guards had standartized clothing,..etc).
Loosing a general during was makes chaos among Mongols troops. I mean no order giver, retreat?

In this pic U can see Korean priest trying to shoot the Mongol general. He did killed the Mongol general. They claim that it is only recorded case "Mongol general was killed in battle".
But there was a 1000`s Noyan (=Lord of 1000) who was captured by Russians & Kipchaks. Ofcourse there was clues to find the general. I know 2.
-Chest mirror.(-something is written in his chest mirror)
-Boots.(-compare to non nobles, nobles wear decorated boots).

So Mongol can wear any armor if he think it is a good one.
