Many of Queens were Christians- Nestorian Christians.
1. One of them is Sorkhugtani Bekhi -most trustworthy bride, wise mother, famous stateswoman. Sorkhugtani Bekhi, Mother of Great Khaans - Great Khaan Munkh, the 4th great king of Great Mongol Empire - Khubilai Khaan, founder of Yuan dynasty, - Khulegu Khaan, founder of Il Khaan dynasty - Arig Buke, unfortunate 5th great king of Great Mongol Empire who stand up for steppe people but lost.
Sorkhugtani Bekhi met with Tului prince at young age. When the Chinggis Khaan was in close relationship with Wan Khaan Tooril, he made engagement between his son Tului, and Sorkhugtani, a daughter of Jaha Khambu, who was a brother of Tooril’s. Later, in 1203, after the elimination of Khereid tribe, Sorkhugtani and Tului were married. Sorkhugtani was the most beloved queen of Tului, also trustworthy bride of Chinggis’s.
Khereid tribe was Christian.

The Naymans were also one of the tribes who accepted Nestorian Christianity.
But it should be noted that all foreign religions, such as Buddhism, Nestorianism, Manicheism, Christianity and so on, among the peoples of the steppe were widely accepted only by their ruling classes (begs, kagans etc.) And even they did it because of political pragmatism. (For example, it is much easier to rule over Muslims if you are a Muslim.) So, that is why Batu-khans brothers accepted diferent religions - Batu was a Shamanist, Berke was a Muslim, some others were Buddhists etc.
What is important is that the people mostly remaned faithful to their own religion (at least in the beginning).

Sartaq Khan- was Christian. Sartaq was reputed to be a Christian convert; his father being a Shamanist. There are several stories of Sartaq's conversion. The Armenian writers, for example, alleged that Sartaq was brought up and baptized among the Russians. In 1241, Alexander Nevskii submitted to Batu Khan and become sworn brother (anda), and an adopted son of Batu Khan. 3rd Khan- Ulaghchi came to power at the age of 10 under the regency of Sartaq's uncle, Berke, and died in office. 4th Khan was Berke - Batu Khan's brother. Berke converted to Islam and became a devout Muslim. This resulted in the Golden Horde becoming primarily Islamic, and its subjects professing Muslim faith. Religious division caused huge problem between Il Khanate and Altan Ord. Berke helped Mamlukes greatly. Fight between Hulagu (who had many christian generals including Armenians) and Berke weakened both Altan Orda and Il khanate. ............... None of Altan Ord or Il Khanate kings were buddhist. Only Yuan Mongols become buddhist due to Khubilai's friendship with Tibetan Lama Pagspa.

"Berke converted to Islam and became a devout Muslim. This resulted in the Golden Horde becoming primarily Islamic, and its subjects professing Muslim faith."
Don't forget that the most significant part of population of the Golden Horde were Volga Bulgars, who accepted Islam much earlier. So, I think that Berke also took Islam in order to gain support of that large part of population there, as well as to gain support from other muslim countries (Mamlukes) in his strugle with Il-Khanate.
