Finally, the national Turkish television channel TRT has made the famous Oghuz folk legends of Dede Qorqut a TV series! I hope they will not butcher up the stories. The trailers seemed very nice It will start being broadcasted in TRT soon. I am eagerly waiting for it to start

This is great, I hope they don't turn it into some trashy show like the rest of the shows on Turkish T.V.

There is something wrong in the declaration: Dede Korkut Kitabý"nýn Arapça olarak yazýlmýþ .... In Dede Korkut Book written in Arabic
That is a wrong expression. The correct one should have been: In Dede Korkut book written with Arabic Alphabet

You are right, it was written in the Turkish language with Arabic letters, not in the Arabic language.

I think it will be as successful as the "Kýnalý Kuzular". TRT does not know the art and science of cinema. "Dede Qorqut" serials will be a disaster.

It seems to be that they are following the rules and methods of European movie-making: the quality of the movie is not important; it is the message which is. This goes very well for the Kýnalý Kuzular serials.

www.vatanim.com.tr/root.vatan?exec=fotoalbum&kaid=216&@@=1There is a photo gallery here. The guy in the first picture is Burak Sergen, as Salur Qazan and Deli Dumrul. I predict that pictures are from Deli Dumrul. I also want to add that it's musics are wonderful. Gökhan Kýrdar is the best in Türkiye at making music for movies and TV serials.

Yes, the first episode about Deli Dumrul's (Dumrul the Mad) story was shown yesterday night and it was good; I liked the costumes, the acting and the environment. Now I am waiting for combat scenes
