The Silkroad Foundation is pleased to announce the online publication of the new issue of its journal, The Silk Road (Vol. 8, 2010). You will find a contents page and a link to the downloadable pdf file at www.silkroadfoundation.org/newsletter/vol8/ . The first annual volume of the journal (previously published semi-annually), Volume 8 contains ca. 140 pp.
The contents of this issue are:

Please remember that we cannot accept individual subscriptions for the limited print edition of the journal, which is, however, distributed to academic libraries gratis on request. Libraries on the current mailing list may expect the print copies to arrive before the end of September.
Questions and submissions of articles should be directed to the editor, Daniel C. Waugh (dwaugh@u.washington.edu). There is space in Volume 9 (2011), for which submissions are due by late spring 2011. New guidelines for contributors have been linked to the index page for Volume 8.
