I found this very interesting Russian painting. It depicts the Khan of Kazan submitting to Ivan the Terrible. Note the Islamic-Turkic costume of the Tartars and their Mongol standards. Attachments:

I was in a teacher supply store and in the history section I found a couple of nice pictures depicting Mongols and Iranian nomadic warriors. I'll start with this one that shows the Mongols scaling the walls of a Chinese settlement. You might notice that the Mongols featured here bear a striking resemblance to those painted for Osprey by Angus McBride. Attachments:

Interesting Pics,Yes,Indeed the Volga Bulgars of Kazan were subjugated to the Russian State ,
They wer already conqueres by the Mongols Before and accepted Islam in 10 century,so thats why they wear these kind of uniforms,armours and shields.

Thanx, nice to see them all in one collection. I don't know for the others, but the drawings about Khwarazmshahs and Mamluks are very inaccurate.
