March 21 is celebrated by both Iranic and Turkic peoples. The name Nevruz/Nowruz/whateverthehellthatis (meaning "New Day") is Iranian, but since the Iranic and Turkic celebrations are in the same day, the Turks adopted the Iranic name too. I don't know if it was celebrated right at the same day by the Turks in the medieval times, but now most the Turkic peoples do. But we already know that both the Asian Huns and the Gök Türks (Tujue 突厥) had some celebrations and gatherings in the spring, we just don't know the exact days of these.
