Going back to the original topic of this thread, I believe that of all the Genghiz-khan movies that such, the Japanese movie sucks the most. ;D

But the movie, just didn't give me any impression that it was about Gengiz-khan it was very artificial and more akin to a stupid Japanese soap opera.
Although, I don't like Bodrov's movie but sometimes, it created a little feeling of "Mongoliness." Japanese movie is just a joke.
Though, it's just my own humble opinion, I don't want to discourage other members from watching it, etc.

I watched that Japanese Chinggis movie; it was not that bad. Of course it is historically inaccurate and more emotional. But the costume design and mongolian steppe looks great in this movie. Whereas Sergey Bodrov's Mongol's only part of it was in Mongolia. But I heard that Chinese Chinggis is historically pretty accurate.

Yes, historical-wise the Chinese series were much better in accuracy.
