Easy to say in hindsight though. It still remains one of the big 'what ifs' of history. What would have happened if Inalchuq and the Khwarazm-shah treated Genghis Khan's embassies nicely? Who knows? Anyways.. kinda off topic.

I think The Khwarazm shah would've been Temujin's enemy no matter what. He was too arrogant and probably would've challenged the Mongols in some way that would've caused a war.
