well i thought the Tuq is a general standard carried by all Mongol commanders. the falcon design however was only linked to Chinggis himself. the symbol of the Keshigten bodyguard looks as follows:

But Činggis Qan had his unique nine tuq with nine horse tails as his symbol of rulership.

yeah but i thought it was a symbol for Mongolia & Mongols in general, not Chinggis Qan himself. i think it was Bor Chono who said that the falcon is symbol of Chinggis' family but i can't find the topic anymore.

Well, the SHoM lists it as a symbol of legitimate rulers, not of the people. Just like those among the earlier Turkic states.

Falcon is Chingghis Khaan's personal standard, us Kalmyks had his falcon and nine yak tails as our flag before complete russification.

Like a personal body guard??? I wanna design one and stick on my coat I am looking for a place in my city where I can have a logo made so I can sew it onto the back of my coat...cant decide whether to choose the falcon or the soyombo...came up with another idea....basically its a Mongolian bow pulled back to full stretch but instead of an arrow there is an AK-47 !!! Can anybody design that??? would be cool!!!
