I have become quited interested in the letters which the Mongol Khans send to different rulers, in different regions and in different times.
Below is one from Hulagu to the Caliph of Iraq. Please, if you have any put them up and responses to the Mongols are also weclome ;D
"When I lead my army against Baghdad in anger, whether you hide in heaven or in earth
I will bring you down from the spinning spheres;
I will toss you in the air like a lion.
I will leave no one alive in your realm;
I will burn your city, your land, your self.
If you wish to spare yourself and your venerable family, give heed to my advice with the ear of intelligence.
If you do not, you will see what God has willed."

Guyuk Khan's reply to the Pope.....
....you must come yourself at the head of all your kings and prove to Us your fealty and allegiance, And if you disregard the command of God and disobey Our instructions. We shall look up on you as Our enemy. Whoever recognizes and submits to the Son of Gods and Lord of the World, refuses submission will be wiped out."
