I saw in many sources that the Great Khan knew Turkic... But I don't know if he spoke or not... And I think in his days, Turkic and Mongolian were similar, weren't they?

Cengiz Han probably did know a Turk language, most of his soldiers were Turks so it would come in handy if he knew it. But I'm sure his native language was a Mongol language, most likely Buryat Mongol. Back then I think the Mongol and Turk languages were very similar, a lot closer than today. There was probably almost no outside influence in either language.

Cengiz Han probably did know a Turk language Chinggis Khan most of his soldiers were Turks so it would come in handy if he knew it. We can't know how many of his troops were Mongols, Turks or Turko-Mongol hybrids. But I'm sure his native language was a Mongol language, most likely Buryat Mongol. Why do you think his native language was closer to Buryat than to the dialect of the Mongghol people?

We don't know, but even non-Turks and many Mongols will admit that his most troops were probably Turks. I say Buryat only because I heared that he was a Buryat Mongol. It's not proven but it's a theory.

I think The Great khaan spoke/knew Old-Kazak like language. I mean his god-father(-I think, I can say like this, because he was Cristian) Tooril van was Kereid(=Hereid). Some say they were ancestors of Kazak ppl. But The Great Khaan declared that they are(Hereids & Merkits) Mongol.

Hmm nope, he wasn't a Buryat, he was from the old Mongghol people.
Indeed the Qazaqs have a tribe named Kereyit, but the Qazaqs weren't compirsed of only that people. Qïpchaqs, Öñgüt, Naimans, Kereyit and many more Turkic or Turkified Mongol communities made-up the Qazaqs.
Of course that was a policital mova, not ethnic. I mean, the Kereyit had become a part of the Mongghol Ulus because they became subjects of him.

Oh come on man! Chinggis spoke in Mongolian of course. We;ve been speaking this language since the time immemorial. Maybe in olden days the dialect wasn't the same. Or you want to say that Chinggis spoke in German or English???
