Is that true? I know the khans of Üzbeks and Qazaqs were real Chinggisids but I have some doubts about the successor khanate families of the Golden Horde. Teymür Ulughbek also prepared family tress showing himself as a relative of Chinggis Khan, eventhough they were from different tribes. Teymür said that his mother was Chinggisid. His wife was also Chinggisid. But he never said that he was Chinggisid. Because of this, he couldn't claim himself as a Qaghan.

Tamerlane did not even try to claim being Chingissid, because he knew it was impossible, even in heavily sedentary Mawerannahr, where the percentage of nomads was less than anywhere. That is why he never called himself a khan, he ruled thru the various puppet Chingissid khans, and he himself had a title of "emir". P.S. kokturk above surpassed me

Thanks for the info. So Seljuks=Sartuuls have some Persian blood? Oh, no! Dear Saran, Sartuul means trader. In Chinggis Hagan's era, this word was used to define Muslim Turkics of Turkest⮨You can see this word in "Mangholun Nigucha Tobchagan") . In modern era, this word is used to define townspeople of Turkest⮮ So, Sartuuls have nothing to do with Seljuks. Geez, totally lost with it Anyway, nice to know that I have no Persian blood ;D

You might have some Iranic blood too, because Sart was a general term for all the sedentary Muslim peoples of Central Asia.
