I liked Akayev better. It is worse now. but Kyrgyzstan is destined for difficulties because of its geography and location, which is really why I strongly think Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan need to become a union together.

Tulip Revolution cant make the situation better than the previous one... Kyrgyzstan is still the most poorest country in Turk Republics.
I think the best solution for our Kyrgyz brothers is Union with Kazakhstan.

as far as i know the Russians called the Kazaks as Khirgiz and the true Khirgiz as Black Khirgiz. First of all, there's a huge difference between "called" and "created". Secondly, the nickname "Kirgiz" was used for Kazaks by Russians only starting from the 18 century due to the elimination of the Enisey Kyrgyz state in Western Siberia by Dzungarians in 1703. After the Enisey Kyrgyz were gone, Russians transferred the name "Kyrgyz" to Kazaks, which resulted in the name "Kirgiz-Kaisak", shortened to "Kirgiz" in 1860s. Before the 18 century, Russians called Kazaks - "Kazak".Thirdly, as I said before, you shouldn't care so much about how Russians call other people. For instance, they still call Germans - "nemtsy", meaning "mute" and "dumb".
