Thanks for that. I thought I was living in a cultural American void. My studies are in Ancient steppe history, and the number of American "experts" are severly limited.

Hungarian archaeologists ( sarmats ) - Andrea Vaday, Valeria Kulcsar, Ezster Istvanovicz and many more. Istvan Bona has written a nice publication about the Hunnic empire. Russians are the best in steppe archaeology naturally. If you need any info on steppe archaeology then let me know. I study archaeology myself and want to focus on sarmats.

Hungary is indeed good in "western steppe" archaeology. There have been nice publications on those stuff made by the Akademiai Kiado.
