You're welcome ) The term Manqurt is well known and widely used in Turkey. Does it really mean "wholesale adoption of Western approaches and the zeal for entry into the EU manifested by the elite" (Wiki)?

It's used for everyone who completely forgets/rejects his/her past.

Ok but why did Ershora attacked his best friend who saved him and his big love, i still don't understand it... whats the point of the movie anyways, that Kazak men shall not love Turkmen girls? is this what mankurt is about?

why did Ershora attacked his best friend who saved him and his big love Because he "became like a dog to his master, not remembering anything from his past", like a mindless brute. whats the point of the movie anyways Destructiveness of mutual hatred, I guess.

I want to note that in the whole movie there's no mentioning of any "Qazaqs" and "Turkmens". The whole conflict is only between two neighboring tribes, but not between the two nations.
Also, Ershora was made by mankurts not by the Turkmens directly, but by the wandering group of unknown people.
I think these were smart politically correct choices made by the creators of the movie.

Turkmens and kazaks are brothers, I have never been told that or read that turkmens fought the kazaks ,
They have always been friends,

Aitmatov's novel had that effect not only on Turkic peoples of the USSR but on just about all. It was well known among the Latvians, who staged it. And among the Russians themselves it energized people sick of the Soviet distortions of Russian history.
