On the contrary, I think the picture is quiet accurate IMO.

well, there is a party in Attila's yurt. That's why it is crowded and you see it, there are many non-nomad looking man enjoying the party, maybe it is before a raid...

of course Attila never was in China so you can forget about the other Asians on the pic. This image is from the Osprey books. www.ospreypublishing.comOsprey folks would never mistaken Attila and put him in China. These are some other people, maybe Xiongnu (original Huns). Where did you get it?

The last picture is a good painting. But it does not show us the truth, Itil never ever had such luxury İ think... Attila had even more luxury. The guy sacked the two of the Roman empires, for God's sake! Read the description of Roman ambassador Priscus, the guy who saw Attila in real life and has been to his camp.

Where did you get it? it is not from an osprey book, but it is from Osprey painter Angus McBride. this picture is from the book Barbarians by Tim Newark from Concord publications. BTW, what's up with that Itil stuff? his name was Attila, or at least thats the only name that we know of, it is very inaccurate to use other (nationalist) names for him.

Temujin,
Yep, Angus McBride - I love his artwork and Osprey books in general.
I've seen and scanned Barbarians book by Newark, but I don't remember such picture. Maybe there's a different volume? Give me the ISBN, pls.
Are you sure it's Attila depicted on that picture? I can't believe Mr. McBride did such a mistake by putting Attila with Chinese and the turban-guys.
Boorchi,
The statement was about "having" (owning) the luxury. As the ruler, he owned the luxury that was sacked from Romans. But in real-life he was a modest guy who drank from wooden cups, when his commanders drank from golden.
