About the three Kazakh hords (Zhuzes). They existed during the Golden Hord. Zhuzes appeared long before Kazakh. More over it was the decision of the head(Bi) of three Zhuzes to unify together and create one Kazakh. The creation of three Zhuzes comes from Chingis Khan. Zhuzes had flags. The Elder Zhuz was given Gold Flag with the word you power is wisdom. The middle one was given white flag with word you will rule the others. The youngest one was given the blue flag with word your power is sword and your glory in battle. Later after the collapse for Golden Hord and titanic changes in the steppes. New nation appeared named Kazakh, but the main role in the unification played Djungars who lunched a genocide against people of the central steppes. Under the treat of total extinction nomads united under new name Kazakh and elected a single Khan- Ablai Khan. New coalition changed the outcome of the war. Kazakh won. Funny enough but the echoes of the past can still be heard now. For example! When Djungars conquered haf of the steppes they presented it to Ming Dynasty but later lost to Kazakh all the lands. Ming Emperor never had interest in Steppes he had his own problems. In 1950th Communist of the China Peoples Republic had some friction with USSR and diged the documents where Djungars presented land of the steppes to Ming Emperor. So China started to claim the land back, lunching big propaganda cultivating people. We had small secret wars. They attacked suddenly one of our devision and killed them all while they were a sleep. Came close to Almaty as 70 km. We burned their division with Katusha. 1 km square of burned land. For super powers it was nothing like a game to play. I am studying in china now! All people who are above 35 thinks Kazakhstan is China's territory. Its due to the old school I think.

In Kazakhstan Government lunched a program to uncover our history. We made good relations with neighbouring countries and send our historians to search for any clues to our history. We now making a big progress and lifting the curtain of history. In china for example we found diplomatic letters of Ablai Khan to Ming Emperor and its written in some turik language which is strange. For new elected Khan to talk with Emperor of Heaven on different language. Even Djungars spoke chinese to the emperor. More over Ming Emperor exchanges letters which tells of diplomatic relations. From Russia we didn't get much of success but one of our goal is to return the head of last Kazakh Khan executed by Kyrgiz and presented to Russia. Hope we could get some useful documents from Russians. All of our poets and political leaders that where executed or lived at the beginning of the 20th century are now restored from repression and their books and biographies are published. Never the less what do you know about Kipchaks?

I also heard story from my father : when USSR & China`s relationship became worse/Mongolia followed Russia/ Mongol army was gathered around borders. The distance between Chinese army and Mongol army with Russian officers was 25km. They waited for weeks, needed a command from Moscow. Mongols & Russians wanted to attack/not just to defend/. But something happened and Moscow canceled it. If not, there would be Tibetia, Uiguria and 2 times bigger Mongolia on world map. ;D
I heard from my grandfather ; -there wouldn`t be names such Tsahar mongols, Buryat mongols and Oirad mongols without The Great khaan. Chinggis khaan gave many names to person & nations like he we the creator ;D I heard that "Khazak" means "Warrior"

In Vietnam was a war between invading China and Comunist Vietnam. I have a teacher who once studied with Vietnam heros of that war. (He is top military advisors of our Minister of Defence) He said that USSR was on VIETNAM side and supported them with all they could. During the conversation his friend said. China RED Army was attacking in numbers. Huge numbers. We shot them till the last bullet and it was like no end to them and when they came too close climing over the bodies of their fellows we went on hand to hand battle using everything we could use, but they were too many. China will never say how much people they lost during that war. Its a secret war.
We have a joke! China planing to invade Kazakhstan. Battle planing. Great General of China Red Army!: We will attack in small groups of 1 000 000.
In theory if China will attack Kazakhstan we will lose half of Kazakhstan in 30 minuts. That half is the most stratigic and economicaly developed part of Kazakhstan. Thats why we moved our capital from Almaty which could be taken in 17 min to Astana which could stand longer.
About word Kazakh! You could be right! Gona messenge our geeks about it!

Qazaq is a Turkic word meaning "Free wanderer". It passed into European languages as Cossack.

Kazakh used to be a word for free wanders and then became a name for people who lived in central steppes. Now we know such nation as Kazakh who lives in Kazakhstan.
I met uigurs when I was i Urumchi. During the conversation they pissed me off saying that we should be named Turkistanians and our land should had name Turkistan.
I like to be Kazakh than Turkistanian.

Actually, the Akhïsqa (Mesket) are mostly Oghuz, not Qïpchaqs. Of course there must have some Qïpchaqs who mixed with them, but they were and are largely Oghuz Turks who speak an Oghuz dialect/accent.
