I think altaicmongol, despite his dependence on "western" 21st C genetic studies, fails to understand the nature of genes. Lets take an example; A "pure" Turk, with so called Turkic (CA) genes enters Anatolia. He takes on a local wife and has a child, lets say a boy. The child will carry his fathers Y Chromosome DNA and his mothers MtDNA. The child in turn grows up and marries a local women, and has a daughter. The daughter will only have her mothers (local) MtDNA and not her fathers (CA) Y Chromosome DNA. So in just 2 generations of mixing a CA origin can be undetected. Now imagine this happening on a large scale over many many generations. If the local population is in the majority or in some cases a minority, then it is their genetic markers (both MtDNA and Y Chromosome DNA haplogroups) that will be in a greater number.
Since most such genetic studies deals primarily with MtDNA (matrilineal markers) and Y Chromosome haplogroups (Patrilineal chromosomes that only make up about 0.38% of the total DNA in a human cell) then these kind of studies dont tell even a small picture of the Turkish story in Anatolia.
Also these studies are usually conducted among a small number of people, usually where samples are most easily available. Turkey being so diverse and passed through by so many different peoples over the ages, will show completely different results in any two studies.
