Thats boyar or one of the members of druzina. Usually Russian Knaz (Duke) hired them but they are not slavs. Slaves made bad horse riders. The only horse riders at that time were boyars and mercenaries.

Cap of Monomach I heard that this cap was gift from Golden Horde Khaan. Internet sources tell that it was made during the 14th century, and was completed with the hemispherical ornament, cross placed over its top only in the 17th century.

Its the hat of Molohai. (Shapka Molohaya) Yes its from Golden Hord. More over there is a big argument between Russian historians because that hat could be worn by a Tatar nobel woman and then passed to Russian Knyaz.

Boyar is name for Russian nobles. Mongol Noble is "Yazguurtan" or "Noyan"
