An Irish People played some intresting part in American-Mexican War. yes, the St. Patricos battaillion. they initially served in the US army but they changed sides because of faith reasons (Irish & Mexicans are Catholics, Americans predominantly Protestant). they helped in the defense of a fort but the fort was eventually captured and the Irish were all ordered to be hanged the second the American flag was raised over the fort. ususally it is not allowed to execute prisoners of war but the Americans treated them as traitors.

Also in Ireland's big starvation crisis Ottoman Emire sent 2 food ships to Ireland. So they still respect Turks diffentyly from the other European countries..
They also have a football club which has moon and star.When I find the club's logo I'll put here..
