i allways have long hair. i haven't seen my hair short and i wonder how would it seem? when i was 5-6, my hair was so long and a girl older then me asked me am i boy or a girl. i tried to explain that i am a boy, but she insisted on that i am a girl. at last, i show her my pennis and finally she was satisfied that i am a boy

what about seljuk hairstyles just braded thats nice two They were almost the same with styles of Central Asian Turks; long & tied hair, for example, was very common among the elite while the Türkmens probably grew their hair just long (I don't know whether they liked tieing it or not).

there's the painting of the Battle of Orsza, but the picture is large and i couldn't find a big picture of it on the web, nor a small one with just the Tatars, but here is a reconstruction, based on the Orsza painting: as you can see, Lithuanian Tatars also have those dreadlocks hanging down before their ears.

Tatar-Mongols leave a piece of hair on forehead or on top or on back. Hairs left on front & top is called "Guhul". Cossacks also call it Hahol. In Russian & Ukrainian, it's "Hohol" or "Chub / Chuprina". Kazaks call it " Kekil" or "Aydar". Kazaks believe that Aydar protects children from the evil eye, as it takes the attention away from the child to the hair. Literally Aydar means "the one that drives out (the evil eye)" from the verb "aydaw / aydamaq" (to drive out, to expel)
