Everyone know about Pan-Turkism (aka Turanism) but I have not seen much discussions about Pan-Mongolism - a political/cultural/economic union of Mongolic peoples living in Euroasia.
Let us talk about Pan-Mongolism. In the Pan-Turkism thread, Bor Chono Shad told us that Pan-Mongolism seems to be even less possible than Pan-Turkism. I wonder why.

Reason no. 1: China Reason no. 2: Russia

Perhaps, it is less possible because today there is only one independent Mongolic state, while Turkic people have six independent republics, and, therefore, more chances to cooperate and unite.

Aren't Mongols more spread out from China, Russia and Central Asia than Turks are? This also would make it very hard to unite.

I think Mongols don't have the consciousness to be a nation. That is why they can't unite. But that doesn't mean they won't. I really believe they will...

You're right.
Six republics de jure. Seven republics de facto.

Reason no. 1: China Reason no. 2: Russia Agree .
The only independent Mongol state is not as powerful as Turkey, and the Mongols are very few, estimated some 8 millions in total (2.8 millions in Mongolia, 3.5 millions in China and the rest are in Russia, USA etc). We are economically weak, and our economy is somehow dependent on China, so sad . There are actually many Mongols who support the idea of Pan Mongolism, like me. But it's not really possible in reality. We dream of one big Mongol state with some 8 million people all united and love each other dearly, taking our land back from China and Russia

Pan-Mongolism refers to uniting the people and the lands right??? If so, I think its never going to happen with a dragon breathing down our backs and a bear blocking our path. Why not just bring them to Mongolia... our land is big enough to accommodate them all. Develop our economy and make Mongolia an attractive place to live.

maybe when Communism in Chian collapses, there is a chance that Mongolia can reclaim southern Mongolia. you know, historically, Chinese dynasties aren't really stable and Chinese are easily prone to rebellion...nothing is impossible! about Buryats in Russia... maybe if Mongolia is wealthy enough they can buy it back like Alaska, afterall the area hasn't much ressources to speak of, but unfortunately the Trans-siberian railroad goes directly to the territory so it is of strategic importance to the Russians.

Tibet is the main part of CHina that has serious foreign support, so if ever they start making noises again then Inner Mongolia might have more of a chance to re-unite with Mongolia proper. You guys used to rule all of Asia proper, what happened!?
Side note: I don't see TRNC as a country but rather an annex or extention of Turkey, it sucks so much money from Turkish tax-payers and governments coffers it's hardly self-sufficient.
