Have any Jangar stories ever been translated into English? I'd love to know more about Jangar and his adventures but it's VERY hard getting anything in English.

It was translated into Russian during the soviet era and they even studied Jangar! Also Geser epic tale. These tales are wonderful, as I child I read them until midnight. But strange, the stories take place in Tibet

Yeah, Geser has been translated. I've read some of the Geser stories. But He seems more Tibetan than Mongolian to me. It's very lonely trying to study anything about Mongolia in America because most of the best writing isn't in English.
