I dont think the azeris in azerbaijan is interested in conflict with iran, iran is hostile when it comes to support for their minoirities

I think nomadi means to point out how similar they are, not that they're exactly the same.

or (north-)eastern to egean dialect North-eastern dialect of Anatolian Turkish has more in common with Azeri than Istanbulite Turkish

Yes you are right. The Rize-Trabzon-Artvin and Erzurum areas, especially Erzurum, is next to identical to Azeri. East-Central Anatolian is closer to Erzurum, and it goes like that all the way to Istanbul ;D

hmmm once i read that Ahiska was the bridge between Azerbaycan & Erzurum culturaly & lingusticly. Since there is no Ahiska anymore Kars will do (it's a couple 100km south). Especialy the Dialect in Ardahan(more notably Posof) is verry close to the Ahiska Dialect. But what is special to the Ahiska dialect is that some words or most words are the same but are pronounced different more like a Northern Dialect like Crimean tatarca.
I'm going to start a new thread about this and like for everybody to share their knowledge
