I am recently very interested in learning the history of the Seljuq. There is a battle called battle of Dandanaqan, which occured between the Seljuqs and the Ghaznavid. There seems to be little details on this battle online. I only learn it via wikipedia. Do you know any primary source that describes this battle in details?
Peathingy's books would certainly direct you to the primary sources of the period regarding Seljuk-Ghaznavid wars and the crucial Battle of Dandanaqan. Seljuk and Ghaznavid history is not my speciality so I am not accustomed to the sources of that period, but I know that the prominent Turkish medievalist Erkan Göksu translated the 15th century historian Mirkhwand's chapter on the Ghaznavids from Persian to Turkish: www.bkmkitap.com/gazneliler?gclid=EAIaIQobChMIpZKjoMyI6QIVkcreCh1QbwblEAQYASABEgLh9vD_BwE
