Hi all!! Im making myself a new set of wooden arrows and I wanted to try to match them to some historical arrows from the steppe nomads. Does anyone know where I can find any pictures of these arrows? Thanks a lot,
Ben

Thankyou very much for these pictures, H. Ihsan Erkoc. I was also looking for some details of the fletched end of the arrows. Would you happen to have any of them around? Thanks a lot,
Ben

Some short range heavy arrows weren't fletched.
The few examples we do have, have three half feathers, bound with sinew, then cut to shape. Literature talks of eagles feathers but I suspect that many types were actually used.

Excelent work.Well done ! I'm glad to see Volga Bulgarian weapons here as well. Bulgarians dominated the bow for many centuries.
