What do the Turkic and Mongolian people think? Are these people Altaic? Or just distant relatives?
Genetically, they are quite close to Altaic people with high percentages of Y haplogroup N1c1 and physically resembling Siberians.

Basques are in no way related to Finns. Basques are western European and usually resemble people from southern France. Most of them Y-DNA haplogroup R1b, which indicates their western European ancestry.

Finnish people are quite related to Siberians and other northern Asians like Mongolians, northern Turkics and Finno-Ugric people of western Siberia. The Saami are another ethnic group who physically resemble northern Asians, although miscegenation has caused them to look around 70% Caucasoid.

Yakuts and Dolgans are both northern Turkic people. Most of them Y-DNA haplogroup N1c1, which is modal among Siberians and Finno-Ugric populations.
