Nice, but needs a small correction:
We know from Chinese annals and Old Turkic inscriptions that the Qïrġïz already had their own qaġanate in the early 8th century, even before the Uyġur Qaġanate was established.

No need to spend time on that, here are the necessary info Old Turkic Inscriptions: Qïrqïz Qaġan mentioned at the inscriptions of Köl Tigin (Eastern Side Lines 25 and 36, Northern Side Line 13) and Bilgä Qaġan (Eastern Side Lines 250 and 27). The ruler of Qïrqïz is also mentioned as a Qaġan and Qan in the inscriptions of Tonyuquq (as Qaġan in First Monument Eastern Side Line 3, as Qan in First Monument Northern Side Line 4). Chinese Record: According to a record from the year 720, the ruler of Jiankun 堅昆 (Qïrġïz) people had the title Gudulu Pijia Kehan 骨篤祿毗伽可汗, which is Old Turkic Qutluġ Bilgä Qaġan. Record found at Xin Tangshu 新唐書, 140: 6052.
