(Originially posted by me at October 10, 2004) ----
Were the Pecheneks really the descendents of the Keñeris mentioned in the Orkhon Monuments?

Sorry about necroposting but it's useless to start a new thread. I'm searching for as many informations as possibile about the pecheneks. On italian and english wikipedias I found very few informations about their relations with Byzantium and the Rus', their territories but nothing more. Nothing about their society, their looking, warfare tactics, habits and so on. Is anyone able to provide me sources of informations - books, websites, miscellaneous -, most likely in english/italian/spanish and a bit of russian?
