You can say it is bit /very small/ salty. But it has no taste. Better to drink it hot. Many ppl refuse to drink. After you drink it your courage will be upgraded. ;D We don`t offer it to foreigners.

Well I am foreigner in Mongolia! But I learn there from one Mongol man how to slaughter goat. He learned me by explaining with hand gestures, because I don't speak Mongolian!!
I was interested in how to slaughter traditionally. Only they did not let me kill the goat, this seemed like very difficult technique in searching the main artery in the back? And squeezing it so it closes, I think.
He tried to explain why not just to slit the throat. I think I understand because they want to use the blood. Like Bor Chono says, I think it Understood correctly. I did not particularly like to drink blood...but I tried. It was not my favourite piece, to say so! Haha. But it was not awful either. They add piece of union and then boil it hot.
About your video Bor Chono: I never seen this to kill a goat with hammer? Seems strange. Why do this?

Goat will scream! ;D ;D ;D So you need to stun the animal. Put yourself in goat`s place. It will be terrible if someone start take your life -to feel it. If you get hit on head you will feel nothing.

Squizing the main artery of the animal is actually a Tibetian Buddhism influence. The idea is that although Mongols have to kill animals for food, they have to minimize the suffering of animals and make them feel as minimum pain as possible. For comparison, other Nomades like Kyrgyz or Kazakhs don't have such complicated way of killing the animals, Tibetians do have.

-Enemies will smell the blood -Demons will rise -Goat`s soul will revenge =it will tell others "they keep us to eat & they don`t love us!" ;D...etc

These are amazing pictures. I was wondering if anyone had a picture of mongolian hats from different angles. I do re-enactment and am trying to learn to recreate the clothing of Mongol people. Specifically I am trying to learn to make hats like in the movie MONGOL. I live where it gets very cold and I think they would be quite warm. Thanks!

wide/narrow sleeves - wide sleeves let in cold air. narrow sleeves hug close to the skin and allow warm air to be captured between the skin and the cloth. you also find narrow sleeves in northern european costume.
