By the way, I learnt this not so long ago:
Burhaneddin Cem Osmanoðlu, a member of the Ottoman Imperial Family (grandson of Sultân 'Abdü'l-mecîd), served in the USAF during WWII.

the Koreans were captured from the Red Army who in turn captured them from the japanese army. some of the defenders of the Normandy beaches were Koreans. Japanese didn't really served in the german army but after the german-Japanese alliance both countries exchanged personel...
