What a great thread! Mongolia really does rock, dunno why but I am liking it more and more every day. I want to visit. Also I want a Mongolian flag (I collect them as well as money, I have a 50 Tugrik note from the 50's)

Peljidiyn Genden, Mongolian Prime Minister killed in 1937. As documented during his negotiations with Stalin, when he was pressed to destroy Buddhist monasteries, Genden got so angry that he slapped Stalin in the face. Genden described the Soviet Union's actions in Mongolia as "red imperalism'' He was placed under house arrest and later shot.
Any pic of him???

this is a picture of him from the game Hearts of Iron 2, but the game says he was Foreign Minister, not Prime Minister. according to the game, Head of State was Agdanbuugiyn Amar and Head of Government (Prime Minister) was Dogijavyn Luvsanshara.

Agdanbuugiyn Amar was also killed by the Russians, I think. Had he been involved with nationalistic movements??
