I've read that nomads were very fond of having sex outdoors (at least in warmer weather). Some stories say that nomads were even known to have sex on horseback, but this could just be a tall tale. Bestiality was also pretty prevalent among steppe people.
And yeah, some people have tried to argue that Temujin was gay and had a love affair with Jamuka (because the Secret History says they loved each other and slept under one blanket). But that doesn't seem very likely to me.

I think it'll be hard to find accurate information on this topic related to the ancient steppe. As for Cengiz Han being gay, no way in hell. A man can't be like him and be gay, it's just not in a gay persons personality. I heard he slept with him under one blanket too, so what? That doesn't mean they're gay. They were very close to eachother, blood brothers. Just because it seems gay to western standards doesn't mean it's gay for the rest of the world. Now for Bor Chonos questions: 1-Did nomads make any contributions to sex? Can't answer this, it's possible but I doubt it's anything significant. 2-Don't knnow. For my first time......? Oh boy, it was terrible, embarassing. 3-They probably did have a god for sex or reproduction.

Welcome Snafu! ;D I was right, everyone(=every man, real man) is interested in sex. Am I right? Snafu? I've read that nomads were very fond of having sex outdoors (at least in warmer weather). Some stories say that nomads were even known to have sex on horseback, but this could just be a tall tale. Bestiality was also pretty prevalent among steppe people. U can have sex on horseback, but U need be a good rider & have trusted horse -not tall horse!. However, the I girl(=old women can`t do it, I think) must be the one who is crazy about sex -who will risk their lives for sex? crazy ppl. Here in Mongolia, at souvenir shops U can see/buy/ some present painted pics of it. Also Gods of Mongolian Red Hat Buddism, do it on bullback. And yeah, some people have tried to argue that Temujin was gay and had a love affair with Jamuka (because the Secret History says they loved each other and slept under one blanket). But that doesn't seem very likely to me. Me too! ;D There is old word : "Er hun Er hundee Hairtai baidag" means "Man loves Man" -Just ask any Mongol, they will answer "Yes, we have that word". -Actually it just means "Men spend lot of time together" or "It is not good if U spend a lot of time for your wife". -So if "Man loves man" what he do with women! ;D

The Gök Türks had strict laws that brought death punishment for sex without marriage. Yes, Mongols too! -But imagine, a guy had sex with a girl. Then he knows that he wasn`t the first man she had. Some ppl saw it! & told her father. Father has 2 choices, marry him with his daughter or to kill him -there can be 3rd choice, if the guy is rich nobleman. If the father did not promised to someone, he will marry his daughter with the guy. For Mongols killing someone for sex wasn`t good way. Man has brothers, it can start little wars. Mostly marrige was the right way. However, The Great Khaan created written law & made it strict. -Kill the one(I don`t remember man or woman or both) who had sex without marriage. -I mean it was risky to have sex without marriage. Also some ugly & stupid girl could accuse U falsely, to marry U! -But U love different girl.

-I mean it was risky to have sex without marriage. Also some ugly & stupid girl could accuse U falsely, to marry U! -But U love different girl. During Soviet Union we also had stupid laws that allowed women to accuse men of rape and force him into marrage. Jail or Marrage what would you pick?! We still have the old laws but they became better. Now days they have to proof that the act really happen. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sex before the wedding is possible but only with your future husband. First is when a guy don't have enough money or the family of the girl don't like him he kidnap the girl. He is not allowed to touch a girl for three days after the kidnap. Or more blood could be shed. In this three days a group of men set for search. If they find them/arrive at place where she is held in three days they can return the girl and kill the person who stole the girl, if they fail to do that in time given they have to leave him alone and he can marry the girl. (In days when girl is kidnapped the parents of the man is held responsible for her virginity). After three days even the girl knows thats it. Its up to her what she will do next. Second is when the marriage is planed. Before the marriage the is "Kudalik" take place. Its the top family members of the boy goes to the parents of the girl to ask for the marriage between the children. They come with gold and expensive gifts to please the girls parents. The boy could also come so they could see who is gona marry their child. Later at night if "Kudalik" goes well and families agree to all the conditions they celebrate. When time comes to sleep the boy spends night far from the village of the girl. (Not so far but so that he could not go to the village un noticed) At midnight a friends of the bride (you can call her so after the "Kudalik") Comes with the deal. They will offer you their help such as bring the bride to him for the night for a large sum of money(Price could be very big). What you do its up to you but you better not to screw this up

Turks have the same tradition too. the girl will marry him or die. but how about boys' punishments? he is guilty too.... i heart that, 5 wild horses are tied to man's arms, legs and head. and wild horses break the man into 5 pieces. but i am not sure is it really done.

i cant believe that a great warrior as timujin was a gay. some says that a gay can't see blood, cant kill a person. Well Timujin is not the only one who is accused of having love with men. For example the Aleksander the Great from the movie. It could be true as having sex between men was common at that times. In one of the Greek legends a God Zeus had a passion for beautifull boys. Hunnibal (I don't know the right spelling) had a rumor that he was passive lover. (Passive is the one who act as women)(Active is the one who act as men) Julius Ceaser. The whole Rome even his legioners were having fun singing a song about the relationship of their commander with the Greek King. It was recorded by Julius Ceaser himself in his books. But he doesn't say was it true or not. There are some records of legioners raping young boys. I've heard once of the old MONGOL kiss which is licking the chick of each other.

I've heard once of the old MONGOL kiss which is licking the chick of each other. I never, ever heard about such kiss!. Some old ppl can suck or lick their grandchildren`s snot(=nasal mucus). Or mothers can lick their childrens faces, to clean. Ancient Mongols didn`t know about French kiss. I know that even my grandfathers didn`t do it. Instead, they smell each other & called it "A Kiss". For Mongols smell was very important for family bond & to find each other. Men kiss each other, women kiss each other, even children kiss each other. U can kiss your love, even she is not with U. U just need a piece of her cloth(or hair) to smell.

Well I actually read it from the book along time ago. It came from the wolves. When they meet each other they lick each others faces. Could be true as people though out the centuries looked at the animal kingdom and learned the way of life. It was said that it layed the base for the kiss in the chicks when friends meet each other.

When I saw this pic it reminded me of "Chandmani"(=also Chanad-mana). (Ornament on door witch is on top of Buddist Cross) Chandmani is some kind of a magical item(=most ppl think it is a stone) like Stone of Yada(=U ppl are calling "Yada"! Mongols call "Zada"). However this thing doesn`t call rain/storm, this stone produce light -it is said that it is bright as sun. -Do U know what realy it is? There are 3 types of it : A.Ball/Egg shaped -is called Zendmene (I guess female Chandmani) it can be in group of 3 to ..... B.Drop shaped -called "Chanad-mana"="Guard well" mostly it is only in group of 3 symboliezes Water,Blood=animal,Grass something like that. -mostly Green, Blue & Red. C.Thingy shaped, -Now I want to talk about it. U can see this Thingy shaped one in Tibetian (symbol) flag. In Mongolia Buddism came from Tibet! But it doesn`t mean that this ornament came from Tibet.(-I`ll explain it) Yes it is...realy it is a BUNCH OF THINGIES!!!! thingyS!!! -Before Buddism Sex worship(=some religion) was worldwide spread -even steppe nomads were Phallus/thingy worshipers. I heard that recently Chinese arhaeologists found Uighur culture queen & beside her stone thingy/Phallus. -It was one of the most popular ornament among Halha Mongols(=Mongols of Chinggis Khaan). (U can see it in Halha wife women`s hat, -no other tribe gave such respect to these thingies!) -There is a question! WHY!? Why there so many thingys? Men mostly have one.(Ofcourse there were ppl who had 2 thingys in history!) Well..I don`t know why but I heard that some Greek God of Sex/Plesure had bunch of thingies (I think U know about it beacause U live near Greek!) -maybe it was wild imagination of those who created this religion. But even in Mongolian Buddism there are gods who do it(=sex) -they have only one thingy. (Surely it was before Buddism.) Is there any one who knows more!?
