Why is there such a big difference in poppulation between the Turks & Mongols.
Even without Turkey & with Inner Mongolia the Turks have a huge number compared to the Mongols.
What is the cause of this? Has this allways been the case?
thanks for the Help

I don't know but I'm going to guess this is because now Turks are generally settled peple with only a minority still being nomadic. But a lot of Mongols are still nomadic today, more than Turks. That's probably one reason, the other being that a good amount of Turks have been assimilated into Turk from something else.

Mongolia has a very high birthrate at the moment but current economics can not support such a large population yet still maintain the level of living standards that it grants now.
However, with new mining operations being planned out everyone agrees that we need more people to work these mines and the economical boost granted will end up feeding and supplying everyone with goods and services.
As for history, Mongolia was seriously a harsh land where there were very limited resources and tribes continued warring and fighting each other continuing from generation to generation. The Turkic identity came earlier as well - which can be of note, Mongolic identity is still fairly young, only 800 years old, and it started from only one tribe.
As for post-Chingghis times, almost all of the Mongols from 3 out of 4 khanates were turkified, sinofied, russified, aryanised, islamified, europeanised, etc. Pretty much it was just one big minority crisis.
