This never mean they are not from the origin of ancient Uzbegs. They're not. "Ancient Ozbeks" are not really ancient. They formed in Desht-i Qipchaq in 14-15 centuries. Urus khan was the first who was known as a ruler of "Ozbeks", and his land was also known as "Ozbek ulus". Tamerlane, modern Ozbek hero, was known for waging wars on Urus khan's Ozbeks. These Ozbeks, who are referref to as "nomadic Ozbeks" in history, split in the 15 century into Ozbek-Qazaqs (later simply Qazaqs) and Ozbek-Sheybanids (who migrated into modern Ozbekistan in 1500). Most of the people they conquered were never Ozbeks. They were Turkic-speaking sedentary city dwellers and various Turkic tribes of Chaghatay origin. I don't think that Iranic culture was "more strong" than Turkic nomadic culture. Many Turks settled in Mawarannahr, but they still kept their tribal structure and semi-nomadic way of life.

You are right in Ozbek point. Not only Iranic,ý mean settled culture. When nomads settle, they enter under this culture.Ýn Mawarannahr,Turks are Iranified in a long time. But some stayed semi-nomadic like Yoruks in Anatolia.(Turkmens settled in Anatolia but a little of them protected Nomadic lifestyle)
