When the Orkhon Uighur empire was destroyed? Did the Khirgiz even have a single leader at that point? Whenever I read about the destruction of the Orkhon Uighurs I never see a mention of a Khirgiz khan. If there was one you'd think he's be well known for defeating the Uighurs.

I have to check some books before I can answer your question. However, we know that the Qïrghïz had a Küchlüg Qaghan (Powerful Supreme Ruler) during the reign of Qapghan Qaghan of the Blue Turks.

Yaghlaqar was the ruling tribe of the Uyghurs between the years 745-795. Yeah. I think Regnal Chronologies goofed up there. They list Uighur tribes as Khirgiz leaders.

A high-ranking Uighur minister named Kuluk Baga defected to the Kirghiz in 840 and helped them destroy the capital. Maybe he became the Kirghiz leader. If he was a member of the Yaglaqar clan that might explain the confusion.
You'd probably have to check Tang dynasty records to find out the exact names of Kirghiz khagans. The Khirgiz had a close relationship with the Tang before the Uighur empire, and after the Uighurs fell that relationship was resumed.

The person the Chinese acknowledged as the Kirghiz khagan after the fall of the Uighurs was just listed as "Ajo". Not sure what Turkic name or title that's a translation of.

Tardush in Old Turkic means "Ruler of the Western Half". It comes from the word Tardu meaning "Western Half" (opposite of it is Tölish). Ïnanchu or Ïnanch means "Reliable" and it comes from the root "Ïnan-" meaning "Believe".
Please, don't link everything with the Hungarians.
